Dagonbhuiyan Academy Science Club
Igniting curiosity, fueling discovery, and forging the next generation of scientific pioneers in Feni, Bangladesh.
D.A.S.C. By the Numbers
Where Science Comes Alive
Founded in 2026 at Dagonbhuiyan Academy, D.A.S.C. is already becoming one of the most active science clubs in Feni District — nurturing Bangladesh's brightest young scientific minds.
Hands-On Research
Students design and execute real experiments with mentorship from experienced scientists and educators.
Competitions & Olympiads
We participate in national Science Olympiads, robotics contests, and inter-school science fairs.
Community Impact
Our projects address real-world problems in Feni, from water purification to environmental monitoring.
Innovation Lab
Dedicated workshop space with Arduino kits, optics equipment, chemistry benches, and 3D printing access.
Don't Miss What's Next
Our upcoming highlight event is just around the corner.
Annual Science Fair 2026
D.A.S.C.'s flagship annual science fair where students from all classes showcase original experiments, research posters, and working models. Judges include university professors and industry professionals from across Feni Division.
Stories from the Lab
Insights, discoveries, and stories written by our members about science and club life.
Welcome to D.A.S.C. — Bangladesh's Most Exciting Science Club
We officially launched the Dagonbhuiyan Academy Science Club in 2026 with eight curious students and one overflowing whiteboard. Here's the story of how it all began — and where we're heading next.
What's Happening
Workshops, competitions, stargazing nights, and field trips — there's always something exciting at D.A.S.C.
Our Scientific Gallery
From solar water purifiers to autonomous robots and biodegradable plastics — explore the experiments our members have brought to life since 2026.
Solar-Powered Water Purifier
Designed and built a low-cost solar distillation unit capable of purifying 5 liters of water per day using only sunlight. Won 1st place at the National Science Fair 2025.
Autonomous Mini-Rover
A fully autonomous robot that navigates obstacle courses using ultrasonic sensors and a custom Arduino-based AI pathfinding algorithm.
Biodegradable Plastic from Banana Peel
Research project extracting starch from banana peels to create a fully biodegradable plastic film, tested across 6 degradation conditions.
Measuring Light Pollution in Feni
A 3-month astronomical study mapping light pollution across 12 zones in Feni using calibrated sky-brightness meters and photographic analysis.
Plant Growth Under LED Spectra
Investigated how different LED light spectra (red, blue, white) affect the growth rate, chlorophyll content, and yield of spinach plants over 8 weeks.
Homemade Seismograph
Built a functional pendulum seismograph from locally available materials capable of detecting seismic vibrations greater than 2.0 magnitude.
Electromagnetic Induction Fan
Designed an energy-harvesting micro-fan powered entirely by electromagnetic induction from a nearby coil, demonstrating wireless energy transfer principles.
Microplastic Detection in Feni Water
Field study collecting water samples from 8 locations around Feni to identify and quantify microplastic particles using a DIY microscopy rig.
Natural Antibiotic from Neem Leaf Extract
Biochemistry study testing antimicrobial properties of neem leaf ethanol extracts against common bacterial strains under lab conditions.
DIY Spectrometer for Chemical Analysis
Constructed a diffraction grating spectrometer from a DVD disc and a cardboard box to analyse emission spectra of common household chemicals.

Science Fair 2025 Recap: D.A.S.C. Sweeps Three Categories
The annual inter-school Science Fair was our biggest competition yet — and we came home with gold, silver, and best innovation awards. A full recap of our winning projects and what we learned along the way.
Our First Rocket Launch: What Went Up (and What Came Down)
After three months of design, two failed prototypes, and one very smoky Thursday afternoon — we finally launched our water-pressure rocket 47 meters into the sky. Here's the honest story of how we got there.
Monthly Lab Update: October Experiments and November Plans
October was packed — three active research tracks, our first Arduino workshop, and the arrival of our new microscope donated by Feni Rotary Club. Here's everything that happened and what's coming in November.
Science Quiz Night: 40 Teams, One Champion, Zero Wrong Answers About Atoms
Our first-ever inter-class Science Quiz Night brought together 40 teams, 200 questions, and a nail-biting finale that came down to a single tiebreaker on the structure of DNA. Here's how the night unfolded.
